These Payment Terms outline the payment methods, conditions, and security measures applicable to all purchases and sales made through maktrix.art (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By using our platform to buy or sell digital assets or services, you agree to these terms.


1. Accepted Payment Methods

maktrix.art accepts the following major payment methods:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Debit Cards
  • Other regional cards (where applicable)
  • Secure online checkout via our payment processing partners

All payments are processed in accordance with the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) and utilize Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) via 3D Secure.


2. Payment Security and 3D Secure Authentication

To enhance transaction security and comply with PSD2/SCA regulations, we support 3D Secure 2.0 authentication. This adds an additional layer of protection by requiring you to verify your identity during the payment process.

How 3D Secure Works

When making a purchase with a card enrolled in 3D Secure (such as Visa Secure or Mastercard Identity Check):

  • You may be redirected to your card issuer’s verification page.
  • You may be asked to confirm the transaction using a password, SMS code, biometric, or mobile banking app.
  • If authentication is successful, the payment is completed.

Failure to complete the 3D Secure challenge may result in the payment being declined.


3. Currency and Pricing

  • All prices on maktrix.art are listed in your selected or default currency (e.g., EUR, USD).
  • Buyers are responsible for any applicable taxes, fees, or currency conversion charges imposed by their bank or card issuer.

4. Seller Payouts

Sellers are paid through our secure payment processor after successful transactions and subject to a standard clearance period (typically 5–14 business days, depending on region and payment provider policies).

  • Sellers must provide accurate payout account details.
  • maktrix.art may deduct applicable service fees before releasing funds.
  • We may delay or withhold payouts if a transaction is under investigation or violates our Terms of Use.

5. Refunds and Chargebacks

5.1. Refund Policy

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy, and may be granted under specific conditions, such as:

  • The item was not delivered
  • The content was significantly misrepresented
  • A service was not fulfilled

To request a refund, contact contact@maktrix.art within the specified timeframe. Refunds, if approved, will be issued to the original payment method.

5.2. Chargebacks

In case of a chargeback:

  • We may temporarily suspend your account while the issue is under review.
  • Sellers may be required to provide proof of delivery or communication.
  • Repeated or fraudulent chargebacks may result in account termination.

6. Taxes

You are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes (e.g., VAT, income tax) in your jurisdiction. maktrix.art may collect and remit taxes where required by law (e.g., EU VAT).
